Mary Jo Marraffa DC

Dr. Marraffa has been practicing chiropractic in Worthington, Ohio since 1995. She received her Degree in Chiropractic from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1986. Dr. Marraffa believes in a wholistic approach to your care and works with you to create well rounded treatment. To introduce and share her unique approach to your health, here is a note from Mary Jo:

"Hello! Thank you for checking out our practice! I love what I do – being part of the healing process with patients as they learn about their bodies and regain their health.

As a graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic, with over 35 years of experience, I have recognized an essential truth about the body’s healing process. The body will heal itself if given the structural, nutritional and emotional energetic support it needs. I have seen on a daily basis that disease and discomfort come from imbalances caused by the accumulated stressors of daily living.

The unique character of my practice is a wholistic perspective to your health issues based upon a thorough examination and evaluation of your health information and history. From this information, I look for underlying causes to the symptoms that you are presenting in your body.

In this healing relationship, I see my role as an investigator of problems, a provider of care and educator to patients about their bodies and their bodies’ needs. I see your role as a patient to communicate with me about your body. In addition, part of your role is to accept and respond to the challenges and supports given for healing to happen.

I use a team approach to providing care and believe that the coordination and integration of health care is essential to your overall health and well-being. The Wholistic approach means coordinating with providers such as massage therapists within our office to other health care professionals in the larger community. We integrate information and coordinate a healing plan based on information from wherever you are seeking professional health care.

We also believe that you need the best and most appropriate care for your specific needs. If I believe that you will be better served by someone else outside of my practice, you will be referred to other health care professionals.

Wendy Reick DC

We are excited to welcome Dr. Wendy Reick to our practice. Wendy is an evidence-based practitioner, dedicated to helping patients reduce pain, increase function, and achieve their wellness goals through diversified chiropractic and soft tissue treatment. Wendy has been in practice for over a year, and she has been Dr. Marraffa’s chiropractor since they met.

Dr. Reick received her doctorate at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota (the same school Dr. Marraffa attended). In addition to her chiropractic training, she is also certified in full-body ART (Active Release Techniques) and the Graston Technique. ART consists of a series of movements that resolve soft tissue disorders, and Graston is a physical therapy treatment which uses specialized instrument to identify and remove restrictions in the body. These two treatments complement chiropractic practices well and we are excited to be able to offer these new methods to our patients.

With her vast knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, Dr. Reick strives to help every patient recover and meet their goals as quickly and permanently as possible, with treatment plans formatted especially for them.

Wendy has been married to her wife Megan since 2017. Together they have a two-year-old son, an old wiener dog, and a cat. Wendy is an avid Ohio State and Cleveland sports fan, as well as a retired rugby player. She enjoys running and practicing yoga to stay active.

Sabrina von Netzer LMT, CNMT (Certified Neuromuscular Therapist)

Sabrina has always been fascinated with the human body and how it moves. She works hard to understand how her client’s bodies are working so that she can help them better address their soft tissues issues. Sabrina looks at the whole body and how the client uses it in daily life to then discuss ways of improvement and easing acute or chronic pain.

She has many techniques she can use when working with a client – posture assessment, myofascial release, deep tissue massage, therapeutic and neuromuscular therapy.

Her passion about working where anatomy, physiology, health and wellbeing intersect fuels her desire to work with people to improve the quality of their life through massage therapy.

She enjoys working with clients who want to actively get better, are open to suggestions and motivated to do the work outside of their sessions.

“Massage is a wonderful tool, but it is the day-to-day work that an individual does for themselves that is the real magic.”

Tracie Beck, LMT, CNMT (Certified Neuromuscular Therapist),

PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant), Craniosacral 1 (3/2023)

A licensed physical therapist assistant since 2013, Tracie came to massage therapy after a shoulder injury. She discovered that massage had a profound effect on her recovery from the injury, which inspired her to pursue a career in massage therapy. She has now been a licensed massage therapist since 2017. She finds the combination of physical therapy and massage therapy can produce very positive results, both for her clients and for the occasional personal injuries she has sustained from weight training, running, and walking over the years. She's found physical therapy and massage self-care techniques for pain alleviation have both been vital tools in returning to her wellness activities, and she is a believer in that combination of tools for her clients as well.

Tracie does therapeutic work with various populations from pediatric to geriatric, as well as prenatal massage. Every client is treated as an individual and every massage treatment is designed with client goals in mind. Techniques may include myofascial release, trigger point work, traction, and light stretching, as well as relaxation massage. Tracie encourages various self-care strategies and provides recommendations to her clients to help keep them pain-free. She enjoys talking to clients about their daily activities, fitness pursuits, and career activities in order to determine if adjustments might be made in those areas to alleviate their pain. Tracie can adjust pressure from light to deep depending on client preference. She encourages communication during sessions for the best outcome, whether the goal is alleviation of acute/chronic pain, increased range of motion, or both.

"I've always desired a career in which I could help people. Before I entered the healthcare field, I had no idea how truly rewarding it is to witness many people with acute/chronic pain conditions return to activities they love, with a better quality of life. I'm amazed with human anatomy and physiology, how the body works and can heal if given proper tools, along with the client's motivation."

Julie Kronenberger, LMT, Certified Trager® Practitioner, Reiki Level 3

Practitioner, Craniosacral Level 1, BA Biology (Indiana University)

Julie is a lifelong learner with a longtime curiosity about wellness. She has continued to expand her knowledge base since she became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2003. She became a Trager® Practitioner in 2005 and is also certified as a Level 3 Reiki practitioner. Julie’s education and experiences have helped cultivate her understanding of - and a sense of awe toward - our amazing human body-minds.

The Trager®Approach is a unique form of bodywork which incorporates both gentle touch and movement. Julie became interested in this system in 1987 when she received her first session, which awakened feelings of both buoyancy and settledness in her body. Through a series of sessions, the Trager®Approach helped Julie dissolve some chronic pain patterns of migraines and fibromyalgia, and she continues to benefit from the work to this day.

An individualized session with Julie begins with your current condition and needs. She may initially make a suggestion for some simple, mindful movement before you get on the table. The table time is often a fusion of Massage Therapy, Reiki, and the Trager®Approach elements of presence, curiosity, sculpting, gentle elongation, and pauses, all of which help address your specific needs and goals. After the table time there may be another moment of simple mindful movement, as well as opportunity for your feedback or questions. If you prefer to remain clothed during this type of session, that is an option. Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing to your session if you would prefer to remain clothed.

“As a Licensed Massage Therapist and Trager® Practitioner, I enjoy being a guide and witness to my own and other peoples' innate relaxation and healing pathways.”
